› Uyuni Salt Flats Full-Day Tour – From Uyuni
The experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Uyuni or from the bus terminal or airport if you arrive on the same day of the tour.
→ Our first stop is the Train Cemetery, a historic site where rusty locomotives tell the story of Bolivia’s mining boom. It is an ideal place to capture artistic photographs among abandoned railways and old train structures.
→ We then continue to the village of Colchani, the gateway to the salt flats, where we will observe the traditional process of salt extraction, as well as handicrafts made from salt and alpaca textiles. Here you will have the opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs directly from local artisans.
→ Next, we enter the majestic Uyuni Salt Flats, an endless white expanse of salt stretching to the horizon. We visit the salt mounds, the famous Salt Eyes (natural underground water springs), the Dakar Monument, and the Stairway to Heaven, an artistic structure perfect for creative photographs. We also stop at the famous Salt Hotel (currently a museum) and the Flags Forest, a colorful spot where flags from around the world wave proudly in the middle of the salar.
