We will meet at our office in Tumbes to begin this nature and cultural experience through one of the main tourist attractions in northern Peru.

Before heading to the mangroves, we will enjoy a City Tour of Tumbes, where we will visit some of the most representative landmarks in the city center.

08:30 — City Tour of Tumbes

During our city tour, we will visit the Plaza de Armas of Tumbes and the impressive Concha Acústica.

We will then continue to the Malecón Tercer Milenio and Plazuela El Beso, where we can see the well-known Balcón de los Juramentos.

Finally, we will explore Paseo Libertador, enjoying some of the city’s most representative spaces before continuing our journey toward the mangroves.

09:30 — Departure to the National Sanctuary of Tumbes Mangroves

After the City Tour, we will begin our transfer to the National Sanctuary of Tumbes Mangroves.

We will travel to the Puerto 25 Estuary Sector in Zarumilla, one of the access points where we will begin our ecotourism experience in the mangroves.

10:30 — Welcome at Puerto 25 Estuary Sector

Upon arrival at the Puerto 25 Estuary Sector, we will be welcomed by the president of the San Pedro Association.

This will be our first contact with local community representatives and people whose activities are connected to the mangrove ecosystem.

11:00 — Introduction to the Tumbes Mangroves

Before beginning the navigation, we will attend an introductory talk given by a local extractor and member of the association.

During this presentation, we will learn more about the mangrove ecosystem, traditional activities carried out in the area, and the importance of preserving these natural spaces.

11:30 — Rowboat Navigation Through the Mangroves

After the introductory talk, we will begin our rowboat ride through the estuaries of the Tumbes Mangroves.
